There are 1,000 litres in a cubic metre.

A cubic metre of water is 1,000 litres.

A litre contains 1,000 cubic centimetres.

A teaspoon holds about five cubic centimetres (or five millilitres) of liquid, and a cubic millimetre is so small that 1,000 of them would occupy the space of a cubic centimetre.
